Groups

Groups are a fundamental part of the capacity planning and finite scheduler calculations. When there are several work centres belonging to the same group, work can be equally spread over all work centres within a group. Every work centre must belong to an appropriate group. If there is only one work centre then it still must belong to a group.  Inspection is a classic example. The work centre ID called be IN and the Group id could also be IN

The capacity plan column check box dictates whether the group will be displayed on the capacity chart.  Remove this check for any subcontract groups.

The display order is used organise the groups in a specific order for display purposes.  We would advice leaving gaps in the numbering sequence to allow the groups to be moved around. Any group with the same number will display together but in no particular order.
