Miscellaneous Costs
Previous Topic  Next Topic

The miscellaneous costs section is used to apply any consumable or items which are not part of the previous sections. These might be anything from tooling to delivery charges. You may wish to 'hide' these costs within a quoted price to a customer or they can be shown separately on a quotation.

Like the previous section on material and subcontract, stock id's can be created to make it easier to add items and foremost keep track of costs and stocks

The Item Life column can be used where consumable items have a fixed life span. The value here is how many items can be completed before it has to be replaced.

The 'use in estimate' check box is applied when you want the cost of the item to be calculated in to the total estimated cost. Normally the 'Print' check box is not selected in this instance so as the item is not shown separately on a quotation sent to a customer.

'Fixed Price' is used as in the example below to apply a delivery charge to the estimate where it is split over all the items quoted. Again the 'Print' check is removed.

The 'onvoice' check will allow you to apply the item charge separately at the point of invoice. This could be a tooling charge for instance.  The 'Print' check isnormally applied for this type of item so it is hown to the customer.
